Kangerlussuaq is mainly known as the international gateway to Greenland. However, there is a great deal to be seen here. Incredible sights, including fertile mountains, beautiful lakes and turbulent rivers.
Kangerlussuaq is the only destination in Greenland where you can actually drive by car to the inland Ice Cap - a magnificent three million cubic kilometres lump of ice!
Kangerlussuaq is also the one of the best places in Greenland where Arctic wildlife can be seen. The area has Greenland's largest herds of wild reindeer and musk oxen, and also Arctic Foxes and a host of bird life lives in the region.

K1: Sightseeing in Kangerlussuaq
A tour by minibus where we show the location of all service facilities (such as swimming pool, bowling centre, night club etc.) and where we tell the history of Kangerlussuaq. A visit to the museum is also included.

K2: the Inland Ice Cap by 4x4 Vehicle
One of our star excursions. A tour by 4-wheel-drive cars through an Arctic desert, along rivers, through old glacier valleys and over small mountains directly to the Inland Ice Cap. We will be driving along narrow mountain tracks and en route we make several photo stops, and walk to some viewpoints that overlook the fantastic Arctic landscape.
Our destination is the steep glacier front of The Russell Glacier, where you will experience the activity of the ice on warm summer days - big pieces of ice falling off making thunderous noises. Alternatively we may drive to Point 660 where you have the possibility to walk on the Inland Ice Cap. The actual destination will be decided just before departure depending upon the weather.

K3: Musk Oxen and Reindeer Safari
By minibuses to an area where we often see musk oxen and reindeer - the animals are wild but very often it is possible to get quite close for good photo opportunities. Please note that we are going into the wilderness - it is not a zoo. Therefore we cannot guarantee that you’ll see the animals, but the viewing rate is generally very high.

K5: Dinner at the Rowing Club
Transfer from the hotel to Restaurant Rowing Club where you will be served a 3 course dinner in beautiful and wild surroundings. After dinner transfer back to the hotel. No guide on this excursion.
