Greenland Experience Tours

Our Experience Tours are unique tours exploring the real place and the people who live there - the wild fjords and tumbling glaciers, the ancient dog sledding routes and fascinating characters that we feel epitomise Greenland, its landscape and culture.  All these journeys are based on Greenland's East Coast, the area where sheer isolation has protected old traditions and ways of life, and where much of the tiny community still live as subsistence hunters and fishermen.  This is also the area where you can travel amidst some of the very wildest, remote and dramatic scenery in the Arctic.

These journeys include aspects that go beyond the typical tourist itineraries, such as staying with a family in a remote village, travelling to some of the most spectacular and remote places that we know of and nights out under canvass in some magical spots; all the makings of an experience that will allow you to really get to know Greenland and leave you with some powerful memories.  These are relatively 'hands-on' tours and people joining them should be willing to help with the day-to-day running of the trip such as cooking, pitching camps and maybe even driving the dog sled!
