A beautiful 1,200 km cruise along Greenland's rugged West Coast, taking in some magnificent Arctic scenery and a selection of towns and settlements.
The trip begins in Narsarsuaq, and a stay here allows you to enjoy one of Greenland's most fertile and lush regions, which is also steeped in Inuit and Norse history. Having embarked on our boat, the MV Sarfaq Ittuk, we head north along Greenland's beautiful West Coast, visiting various towns and settlement along the way, including the capital city Nuuk. As we approach Sisimiut we cross the Arctic Circle and, if travelling before mid July, we can enjoy the Midnight Sun! Entering Disko Bay reveals a world of giant icebergs and whales.
Having arrived in Ilulissat, we will be based in the superb Hotel Arctic. A range of exciting excursions are on offer that will help you make the most of your time here.
Exploring Greenland by sea is a great way to get to know the world's largest island. The cruise is also an opportunity to get to know the Greenlanders, since many of them choose to travel by boat. Meeting them on board and seeing the busy harbours with families reuniting and young people embarking on great adventures, provide great insights into daily life in Greenland. Accommodation on board is in outside cabins with private facilities, and with breakfast and dinner provided, allowing you to experience Greenland in style.
