Narsaq is the second largest town in South Greenland with a population of around 1800 people. It is beautifully situated in a bay that is often filled with icebergs.

Guided tour of Narsaq
Walk through Narsaq where the guide will describe daily life in a Greenland town. We will visit the newer part as well as the old kayak harbour, where local hunters still bring in seals. A visit to one of the local stores and the local market "Brædtet" show how the old way of life still is existing alongside modern practises. Lunch and visit to the little museum included.

Easy hike to the Dyrnæs Peninsula
A leisurely hike including visits to Viking and Eskimo ruins, as well as beautiful Arctic scenery. It is not a particularly demanding hike and most clients will be able to participate.

By boat to the Inland Icecap
By boat across the ice-filled Bredefjord to a fjord system north of Narsaq that leads up to the impressive Twin Glaciers. Here we go ashore onto a small rock that emerges from the glacier front and enjoy our packed lunch. Afterwards we continue into another fjord with impressive bird colonies on the cliffs and a big waterfall.

Hike to the Dyrnæs Peninsula and Kvanefjeld
Walk up along the Narsaq river to the geologically interesting area around the Kvanfjeld mountain. Here we might find the rare gem stone Tugtupit only to be found in this area and in a small part of Siberia. The scenery and the views are incredible in this area. A packed lunch is included.

By boat to the Eskimo ruins
By boat across the Narsaq Sound and through the icebergs to a natural harbour where we go ashore to see the ruins of Eskimo turf houses and some "jumping stones" - once a popular game in the old Eskimo world.

Full day tour to Qaqortoq
We sail through the narrow Mato Strait to Qaqortoq, the biggest town in South Greenland. The old town centre dating back to 1750 is still intact and the contemporary sculptural art project "Man & Stone" can be seen all around the town. Lunch at the cosy restaurant Napparsivik - this is one of the oldest houses on the old square with the only fountain in Greenland.
On certain days we can offer helicopter transportation between Narsaq and Qaqortoq. Experiencing Greenland's landscape when flying at low altitude in one of Air Greenland's helicopters is a breath-taking adventure.
