Summer Excursions in Kulusuk

It has only been a hundred years since the first Europeans arrived in the inhabited districts in East Greenland. Therefore the traditional Inuit culture still plays an important role in the local communities of this remote corner of Greenland. In East Greenland the old traditions are being kept alive: Original faith is still reflected in the art and handicrafts made by local artists and drum dance is even now performed.

Kulusuk is the gateway to East Greenland. During summer there are daily flights to Reykjavik. The village is half an hour's walk from the airport. It is a typical settlement where the population still makes a living from hunting and fishing.
