Uummannaq
An exotic town in the far north, surrounded by breathtaking nature with beautiful mountains and deep blue fjords with gigantic icebergs. Amongst this Arctic grandeur the local population lives traditionally and is still dependent on fishing and hunting.

In 1972 the famous well-preserved Greenlandic mummies were found just outside Uummannaq. An exhibition about the find can be seen in the town's museum.

Ilulissat
A more modern town north of the Arctic Circle where one can still find remains of 4000 year old Inuit settlements and where some of the biggest icebergs in the world are to be seen. The Ice Fjord outside Ilulissat has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Kangerlussuaq
Many excursions can be enjoyed from Kangerlussuaq, including Reindeer and Musk Oxen Safaris and trips to the magnificent Inland Icecap.  These are available if your tour includes an overnight stop in Kangerlussuaq.

Itinerary

Friday Air Greenland flight from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq, and continue to Ilulissat. Meet your destination guide. Check in at the hotel for information meeting.

Tuesday Transfer to the airport in time for a spectacular flight with Air Greenland to Uummannaq. Transfer to Hotel Uummannaq
