Air Greenland, Greenland's national carrier, is opening up a new direct route between Baltimore in the US and Kangerlussuaq, West Greenland.  This is due to start operating in May 2007, and we shall be offering tours that make use of this route from June onwards.  These will be summer tours at first, with regular departures available until September. Hopefully winter options will follow.

This provides a great opportunity for US customers to visit some of Greenland's highlights including Kangerlussuaq - home to a great collection of Arctic wildlife including Musk Oxen and Reindeer, and offering easy access to Greenland's incredible Icecap.  It is also one of the best places to see the Northern Lights (but wait for the winter tours for this!).  The town of Ilulissat is easily reached from Kangerlussuaq, and is famed for its icebergs - so much so that it has been designated as a World Heritage Site on account of the sheer number of them!  A Midnight Cruise amongst the icebergs is a beautiful experience and a stunning introduction to Greenland.

It will even be possible for US customers to combine their Greenland holiday with a trip to Iceland, flying back to Baltimore with Icelandair.  Full details and prices of these new tours will appear on the website soon, so please watch this space.
