Our new tours to Greenland departing from Baltimore in the US are now online!  Here are the details:

Ilulissat and Kangerlusuaq
These tours are combinations of two of the most interesting destinations in West Greenland: Ilulissat is located next to the biggest glacier in the northern hemisphere and the town over looks the famous ice fjord, filled with huge icebergs drifting slowly towards the open sea. Here you can also experience the life and culture of the Greenlanders north of the Polar Circle. The Kangerlussuaq area has a unique landscape and the offers the best chance of seeing Arctic wildlife like musk oxen and reindeer.

Air Greenland, Greenland's national carrier, is opening up a new direct route between Baltimore in the US and Kangerlussuaq, West Greenland.  This is due to start operating in May 2007, and we shall be offering tours that make use of this route from June onwards.  These will be summer tours at first, with regular departures available until September. Had an excellent few days up in Scotland with business partner Matt.  Lots of good meetings with clients that will be using our guiding and logistical services for expeditions in Greenland for both 2007 and 2008.  All very interesting and exciting stuff!  Also good to see Craig Mathieson, one of our North Pole companions from earlier this year, who has some very interesting plans for somewhere a lot further South...

I've not had the chance to spend much time in Scotland recently, and it was really great to have a good explore again.  Perhaps the highlight of the trip was a 2 1/2 day sailing trip on board Matt's Dad's beautiful 60 year old boat.  He's obviously spent a lot of time and effort restoring this old girl, and she's looking great and sailing very nicely.
