For our founders and staff, our organisation is more than a job or a way of making money. We are driven by a passion for Greenland and the Arctic as a whole, always seeking the best new places and innovative new tours.
Our company was established off the back of this passion, and we strive for this to be passed on to our clients through our selection of itineraries, activities and services. Our enthusiasm for the place is infectious, and we hope that you can come away from Greenland with similar feelings having learned a little about the place and the people. Everyone that works with us shares this outlook. They are true expeditioners, and spend a considerable amount of time every year out in some very wild and remote places. Everybody that works with us does this because it is what they do best, and it is what makes them happy.
Our relationship with the local communities is one our strengths. Over the years we have forged close friendships with the Inuit hunters in Greenland, and work alongside them on all of our trips. It is of utmost importance to us that our activities benefit Greenland’s communities. As with many indigenous cultures, the transition from a traditional lifestyle to a modern ‘westernised’ one has been abrupt and not without significant social difficulties. Environmental change has also imposed pressure on people’s lives here. Our partners in Greenland recognise that the travel industry is a way forward for them, and we hope that our work helps the progress of these remote societies and ease the strain of adjusting to modern life. These people are undoubtedly the best people to show you their beautiful country and their knowledge and skills of which they can be so rightly proud.
